Trilha 4 - Mixila

Leaving from Lencois, we’ll go 40 minutes by car along the old diamond miners road to arrive at Capivara River where we’ll meet up with the trailhead.

The beginning is flat but not for long!  We’ll hike up a steep incline to get on top of the Bode mountain range where the trail will flatten out again and we’ll come across Capivari Waterfall (45 meters of free fall).  There we’ll have lunch, take a swim, and prepare for the next part of our trek.  We’ll then continue on to Pocao Waterfall where we will enjoy the large pool, its beautiful waterfall.  We’ll have dinner and make camp for the night.  There is a small cave above the waterfall where we will sleep for the night.  It used to be a diamond miners house.

The second day we’ll have breakfast, leave our bags at camp and walk for an hour along the river bed, coming across two pools to swim in before arriving at Mixila Watefall, the main attraction of the trip.  After enjoying the waterfall we’ll return to the previous days camp to gather our bags and continue walking another 3 hours until we get to Palmital Waterfall to make our second nights camp.  We’ll come into lencois on the third day and pass by Rebeirao do Meio, a natural waterslide.
